As I picked up somebody (a woman) began singing on the other side for 17 seconds. Can’t recall the lyrics though.

Kinda hard to teach a 80+ year old how to operate a cell phone, even though it's basically dial and hang up :-) Lesson: tell your relatives to let you know when aged people are going to play with new toys.]]> Since a few weeks, we’ve been receiving calls from +32 xxx xxx xxx. They do not answer, nor is it a fax machine. The number seems to indicate it is a mobile phone dialing me. Listening closely does not give any indication of background noise either.

We figured Elias would really enjoy playing in the sand, splattering around in the water, and use his new toys. Little did we suspect that a British trio would have been there. Nothing against the British, mind, but these specimens obviously were on their way to the nude beach, not the regular beach, or so we thought after having (incidentally) observed the positioning of their swimming gear. I can understand somebody want to tan uniformly, but the beach is not the place to get your butt tanned.

Next time I see somebody expose himself like this, he better chooses a day with warm water, because I plan on (accidentally) pouring some over him.

Really. If you want your arse tanned, do it in private.

It has been raining for the last hours, and the water on the roof outside my window is rising. Said roof shows no sign of any drainpipe being attached to it, but there is one pipe coming down from the top of the building. I expect the water to hit the top of the roof you can see in about two hours. I also think that our window is just a bit lower than the roof. Update: A plumbing person has arrived and has located the blocked drain pipe. Guess that means we’re safe. And that the office floor will not be cleaned for another month.

Say that the departure airfield is located near Brussels, and the target airfield is located in the vicinity of Seattle, WA. Past experiences show that for a flight in economy class, one pays about €800 for the round trip. Not so with British Airlines.

Obviously something went awry somewhere. One would suppose that the software checks prices against the average price for the given trip, taking a lot of factors into account. When the given price lies, say two standard deviations away from the mean, there must be something wrong. Ah well. Maybe we’ll give KLM a shot.
