First check-up

On April 25th, 2007, Nathan paid Dr. Azou - our pediatrician - a first visit. We were a bit worried because he is not eating very well, taking over an hour (at least) to suckle in about 70g to 80g of milk. He was measured, weighted, and the conclusion was: nothing to worry about (yet). He weighs 3.68kg, is 55.5cm tall (I think that an increase of 3cm in two weeks is quite a lot), and his head circumference measures 35.5cm. So while he's not drinking enough, when compared to official stats on how much a baby his age should drink (about 100ml on average for 6-7 times a day), he fills his diapers well enough, and seems to be (for now) on a good growth curve.

On the graphs provided by Kind en Gezin he can be placed with the top 3% length-wise, the average crowd weight-wise and head-circumference-wise. Still, he should pick up pace when drinking because he's tiring himself far too much by taking the slow path to a full stomach.
