June 27, 2008. The last day at school for Elias. And I was late picking him up :-/ As in 30 minutes late. Somehow my brain thought I needed to pick him up at 15:35 instead of 15:05.
The evening before ... We went to see Elias' teachers, Veerle and Ellen, to hear from them how he did, and which class he would be in next year. They judged him to be all ready to go the the second year in kindergarten school, and showed us the drawings he made at the start and the end of the year. In each case, he had to draw a child. The first drawing featured a number (quite a lot actually) of lines mostly going up and down. The second drawing however, actually featured a picture of a kid, his mom and dad. While they all looked alike, one was larger than the others (the kid, obviously) as that was the most important part of the drawing. Elias we also very well spoken, has an extensive vocabulary and is keenly interested in books. He does like to play best with the sand.
