Crawling on all fours

While I have not seen it with my own eyes -- being in Seattle right now -- Nathan reportedly has gained the ability of crawling forward on hands and knees, instead of pushing himself backwards and turning around to get where he wants to be (read: where he can wreak most havoc). As a bonus, he can now also clap his hands, banging the flats against one another, instead of smashing his little fists together. Way to go son!

Roll on over!

Yesterday, I put Nathan on his playing blanket. Five minutes later, when I looked back, he had rolled onto his belly, and made a 180 degree turn, causing his legs to get entangled in Elias' garage. But that did not matter much, because now he had the chance to finally pick up that cute little duck.

Grabbing

Today, Nathan has been making a few (succesful) attempts at grabbing toys we offer him. He also started to examine his hands, holding them together and staring intently at them. For now, his toy is a small stuffed version of Piglet (with a hole in his chest, making him easier to hold).

Rolling over

At what age can a baby roll from his back to his side? I'm quite certain that two weeks is far too soon, but we witnessed Nathan rolling to his side twice in a row. Granted the couch is not perfectly horizontal, but we thought it was rather remarkable.
