The highest tower Nathan built today, before deciding that allowing gravity to exert full control over the blocks used, was 5 blocks. The trick to keeping him building lies in providing him with new blocks before his brain can decide that his hand needs to hit something. Preferably something near the base of that cool tower.
I came home this evening at about 21:00. When I entered our living room, I heard stumbling and footsteps in Elias' room. Because Nathan cannot get out of bed, I figured Elias was -- for the very first time -- out of bed when he should be asleep, as he went to bed at about 19:30. So, I took a walk upstairs to check on matters, expecting him to be up looking at his brother or something similar. To my astonishment, however, the open door revealed that the light in the room was in fact turned on. So, I entered the room, trying to hide my laughter.
When we stayed at the Heidebloem Ranch in Holland, Elias, Lize and Xander immensely enjoyed the trampoline that was placed in the yard. Proof can be found in the following picture.
Today, Nathan has been making a few (succesful) attempts at grabbing toys we offer him. He also started to examine his hands, holding them together and staring intently at them. For now, his toy is a small stuffed version of Piglet (with a hole in his chest, making him easier to hold).
