Kid's corner

A lot has happened during the past months, a bit too much to restate here. Elias entered second year in preschool/kindergarten this year. At the end of last year, his teachers were really happy about his progress, his behaviour, etc. So there would be no problem going to the next year. Yet his teacher is very strict and quite demanding. This was reflected in the first time we got some feedback, where we were pointed out that Elias was not really able to keep up, was easily distracted, did not raise his finger to answer questions, etc. After the shock, we wrote a letter kindly stating that we had very different experiences with Elias. To make a long story short, we had a talk with the teacher and the principal and everything was straightened out.

Before the christmas holidays, we received a large envelope with the works and tasks Elias had made, and they seemed pretty OK to us. Meanwhile, school has restarted since two weeks and we think everything is all right. It was not all right for Elias' best friend however. His mom had a similar ordeal at the feedback evening, and decided to put Mathias in a different school :-(
